DESCRIPTION: APW - Waltham, very rare model 1892 mvt with script "AWWCo Waltham Mass" signature, 18S, nickel OF recase with train engraving on rear, SW-LS, WE-DSD private label marked "S T Little & Sons, Cumberland, Md," fully capped lever escapement, 21J, GJS, rare radial spiral (radiant swirl) pattern NI damascene, s#7902925. S T Little & Sons of Cumberland, Maryland were long time railroad watch inspectors for the Baltimore & Ohio railroad.
CONDITION: Mvt: Ticking sluggishly, OH recommended, excellent plus mvt condition overall, bright lustrous plates, mild but long MFS on main plate, some small MFS elsewhere, few oxide spots on winding wheels, one replaced plate screw on barrel bridge that seats short of plate surface; dial with two faint hls and two small scratches in space above seconds-register, two faint hls below seconds-register; case shows little wear, some MFS, no dents or dings, engraving detail strong; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
